Physical activity provides benefits including increases in cardiovascular fitness, physiological and psychological health, and musculoskeletal strength. The risk of death in Individuals not engaging in exercise grows by a factor of 20%–30%.

Dance

A 2003 study in theNew England Journal of Medicineby researchers at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine discovered that dance improves brain health. Dancing involves both mental effort and social interaction and helps reduce the risk of dementia.

BEAM makes movement fun, provides a mental, physical and emotional outlet for stress and produces life-enriching outcomes such as greater strength, energy and confidence. It’s about connections between people and among mind, body, heart and soul. Activities include one-on-one fitness coaching, dance cardio, dynamic core training, mobility and flexibility training, choreography and events and high-energy group classes.

Shine Time
Dancers Combine
to Lift People Up

Shine Time is a highly spirited dance/fitness/performance class that culminates in shows that brings audiences to their feet. Acting, props, humor, play and creativity add to the fun. Experienced and first-time performers, all of them everyday people, learn choreography set to music and hone their entertainment and stage skills while reaping health benefits and making lasting friendships. Tara has created shows for fundraising events, colleges, schools, and others, and has directed five shows produced for a community for adults 55 and over.

BEAM promotes freedom by encouraging people to discover and celebrate their authentic selves. People rid themselves of burdensome expectations and grow in strength and confidence.
